About

SoGal Foundation is the largest global platform for diverse entrepreneurs and investors. Spanning 6 continents with hyper-local programming in over 50 cities, our mission is to close the diversity gap in entrepreneurship and venture capital.

About

About

SoGal Foundation began in 2015 with a mission to redefine the next generation of diverse entrepreneurs and investors. When SoGal founders Elizabeth Galbut and Pocket Sun met in their VC training program, they shared a passion to create systemic change from the ground up in this industry, and immediately banded together to form the SoGal community alongside sister organization SoGal Ventures.

Since then, the SoGal community has grown into SoGal Foundation, and from a classroom side project to a global movement for womxn to live on their own terms. SoGal Foundation brings access to capital, education, resources, and network to diverse entrepreneurs within their local communities. In 2018, the organization officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to serve as many entrepreneurs from underestimated backgrounds from around the world as possible.

SoGal Foundation exists to change the status quo and trajectory for women and diverse builders - to get more women to own their narratives, goals, companies, missions, and futures. SoGal Foundation hosts educational programming, offers funding opportunities, trains investors, and promotes founder wellness; which all measurably impact the gender and diversity gap on the global level, as well as hyper-locally within each chapter.

SOGAL GLOBAL COMMUNITY

With 50+ chapters spanning 6 continents, SoGal Foundation is home to the largest global movement of diverse entrepreneurs and investors. Get in touch with your local SoGal Chapter Lead, or apply to lead your local community!
